Hao Bo studied dance from 1993-2000 at the Beijing Dance Academy.

In 2000, he joined the National Ballet of China. Bo has performed in Swan Lake, Giselle, Le Corsaire, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Don Quixote, Coppelia, Les Sylphides, Rite of Spring and The Yellow River.

He joined Ballet San Jose in 2003.
