Mirai
Noda studied ballet in her hometown of Yokohama,
Japan and at the National
Ballet of Canada, where she performed as Clara
in The Nutcracker. She also studied at the Boston
Ballet School for two years, and performed with
the Boston Ballet as Snow and Flowers. Ms. Noda danced
with the Asami
Maki Ballet Company in Japan before she came to
the United States to dance with Ballet San Jose.
Ms.
Noda has competed at the International Competition
in New York, and danced to great acclaim in the Jackson
competition.
As a member
of Ballet San Jose, Ms. Noda has performed the role of
Maria in Dennis Nahat's The
Nutcracker and
has been featured in In Concert, Blue
Suede Shoes, Middle Kingdom — Ancient
China, Coppelia, Romeo & Juliet, Grand
Pas de Dix and Moments.
During her summers, Mirai teaches ballet class and performs
as a guest dancer for schools in Japan. During the summer
of 2007 she performed in principal roles of The Nutcracker,
Swan Lake and Don Quixote.
